Comerciantes se movilizan en Quito

En horas de la mañana de este jueves 12 de abril, comerciantes minoristas y trabajadores autónomos del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito se movilizaron desde la Caja del Seguro hacia la municipalidad, para pedirle al alcalde Mauricio Rodas que se ejecute un Plan Maestro de Comercialización consensuado con la realidad de la crisis económica y a su vez exigir la regularización y entrega de permisos.

Iván Prado, presidente de la Confederación Unitaria de Comerciantes Minoristas y Trabajadores Autónomos del Ecuador (CUCOMITAE), indica que los comerciantes se han visto obligados a hacerse escuchar  en las calles porque si bien es cierto, están de acuerdo con la regularización, el orden y control, pero no comparten con tanta persecución, confiscación, maltrato y abuso por parte de las autoridades.

“De las migajas que nos dan hemos podido acceder a capacitaciones de orden, pero no a los permisos, chalecos ni credenciales que nos identifiquen; razones por las cuales continuaremos en pie de lucha hasta conseguir un adecuado proceso de regularización que signifique mejores condiciones para el trabajo autónomo”, indica  Prado.

“Quito necesita un Plan Maestro de Comercialización a la medida del crecimiento urbano, pero las autoridades no hacen más que trabajar en base a una política de chantaje por prebendas personales o partidarias, pues nunca se ponen de acuerdo ni para legislar ni para fiscalizar. Si bien es cierto todas las ciudades necesitan control y regularización, pero no concordamos con el sistema de abuso y arbitrariedad, generado por el Consejo Cantonal y la Comisión de Comercialización”, señala Carlos Castellanos, representante de la Federación de Comerciantes Minoritarios de Pichincha (FEDECOMIP).

Mónica Tenén, parte de la organización Jardín del Valle que labora en el playón de la Marín, menciona que los comerciantes ya están cansados de realizar tantas peticiones al Municipio de Quito y que siempre se haga caso omiso: “Estamos conscientes de que debemos ser regularizados, pero gran parte de los compañeros tienen toda la documentación necesaria para obtener el permiso y no lo consiguen porque el trámite se estanca. Hemos realizado un sinnúmero de mesas de trabajo, pero de nada sirve porque todo se ha quedado solo en papeles”, comenta indignada.
