Ante los resultados por parte de la Asamblea Nacional y la Comisión AAMPETRA que determinaron que el ex ministro de Educación y actual Asambleísta Augusto Espinosa es responsable de la omisión de denuncias en los casos de abuso y acoso sexual a niños y adolescentes en instituciones educativas, llevó a que la Unión Nacional de Educadores – UNE presente ante la Fiscalía una denuncia penal en su contra.

“La UNE apegada a sus principios y al mandato del pueblo ecuatoriano, presenta la denuncia de carácter penal contra Espinosa, ya que el tipo de violencia que han sufrido estos niños es la peor, puesto que les afecta durante toda su vida y obviamente no puede quedar en le impunidad” manifiesta Rosana Palacios, presidenta nacional de la UNE, quien agregó el ex ministro debe asumir su responsabilidad en lugar de continuar cobrando dinero del pueblo ecuatoriano “todo el peso de la Ley a quien sea responsable de estos actos“, dice.

El primer paso está dado, más adelante los denunciantes serán convocados al reconocimiento de firmas y posteriormente la Fiscalía seguirá con el proceso de investigación, mientras que los docentes siguen firmes en la defensa de la niñez. “Los niños no pueden estar desprotegidos por la sociedad ecuatoriana, no podemos seguir callando estos hechos socapados por un correísta como Espinosa, todos los involucrados deben responder” sostiene Palacios.
