Carlos Aurelio Rubira Infante es escritor y compositor de la música ecuatoriana. A sus 96 años se encuentra nominado al Salón de la Fama de los Compositores Latinos, por su importante labor artística y haber dedicado su vida a componer canciones para cada rincón del Ecuador.

Nació en Guayaquil el 16 de septiembre de 1921 y ha compuesto más de 600 temas musicales entre pasillos, pasacalles, sanjuanitos, albazos, valses; además fue profesor de grandes figuras de la música nacional como Pepe y Julio Jaramillo, Fresia Saavedra y otros.

Para ingresar al Salón de la Fama, Rubira requiere estar entre los seis más votados de los 24 postulantes, entre las categorías compositores intérpretes y compositores no intérpretes. Las votaciones son hasta el próximo 15 de abril y los ganadores serán anunciados el 1 de mayo.
